Fluid enters
Process liquid enters near the center of the rotating case.
High-pressure pitot tube pumps
EHIK PUMP supplies single-stage pitot tube pump solutions for demanding high-pressure duties—and independent replacement reviews for Roto-Jet®-type applications.
Send a nameplate photo, datasheet or performance curve. We will identify the remaining data needed for review.
Selection begins with actual flow, head and suction conditions.
Materials and sealing are checked against the process liquid.
Hydraulic and dimensional suitability is confirmed model by model.
Operating principle / 01
A pitot tube pump is a centrifugal pump in which the rotating casing adds energy to the liquid. A stationary pick-up tube then converts velocity energy into static discharge pressure.
Actual performance depends on the complete operating conditions, liquid properties and pump configuration.
Process liquid enters near the center of the rotating case.
Rotation accelerates the liquid toward the outer diameter.
The stationary pick-up tube intercepts the high-velocity liquid.
Velocity energy is converted into static discharge pressure.
Replacement engineering / 02
EHIK PUMP provides an independent technical evaluation for existing pitot tube pump installations. A direct drop-in replacement is never assumed: hydraulic performance, interfaces and materials are reviewed before a configuration is proposed.

Selected duties / 03
Commonly considered where high differential head is required at relatively low flow. Final suitability is subject to engineering review.
High differential head duties where suction conditions and temperature must be checked carefully.
↗Controlled injection duties for water and compatible process liquids.
↗Central cleaning, spray and wash systems requiring steady high-pressure delivery.
↗Application-based selection for membrane feed and related high-pressure water service.
↗High-pressure shower service for selected paper-machine applications.
↗Selected chemical and hydrocarbon services, subject to full materials and seal review.

Pressure and flow alone are not enough. Send the available data—even if some fields are still to be confirmed.
Duty pointMinimum, normal and maximum flow; suction and discharge pressure.
Liquid dataComposition, density, viscosity, vapor pressure and temperature.
Site conditionsNPSHA, elevation, ambient conditions and hazardous-area requirements.
Mechanical scopeMaterials, sealing, connections, motor and baseplate interfaces.
Technical notes / 05
Direct answers to common project questions.
It may be possible, but interchangeability cannot be assumed. We compare hydraulic performance, dimensions, interfaces, materials, sealing and driver data first.
Only a preliminary review is possible. Suction conditions, liquid properties, temperature, materials and installation requirements are needed for final selection.
No. NPSHA, viscosity, vapor pressure, solids, corrosion, temperature and sealing limits must be reviewed for each application.
A nameplate helps identify the existing unit. A reliable proposal usually also needs the duty point, curve, datasheet and installation details.
